Need Labourers
We aim to match workers' skills and experience to your requirements. Please ensure we have as much information as possible to allow us to plan successfully for each job. The questions on our form at right are a good indication of the information we need. Note that our workers will either get themselves to your site at start of play, but that they make their own way home after their shift has ended. Please ensure our workers attend any site inductions required, and are shown around the site to familiarise them with facilities, potential hazards, the location of site sign-in books and our time sheet books if we have one on site. Please also ensure that workers complete their time sheets at the end of each day and their hours are signed off by their supervisor. Finally, it is important that you fill out the supervisor's rating section at the bottom of our time-sheets, as this information allows us to monitor performance and ensure you get the best workers possible.
Note that we supply a wide range of hand tools and worker safety gear. Hard hats, steel-capped footwear, Hi Viz jackets and safety glasses being standard issue.
With regard to worker's breaks, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) states the following:
Employees will be entitled to the following paid rest breaks and unpaid meal breaks:
one paid 10-minute rest break if their work period is between 2 and 4 hours
one paid 10-minute rest break and one unpaid 30-minute meal break if their work period is between 4 and 6 hours
two paid 10-minute rest breaks and one unpaid 30-minute meal break if their work period is between 6 and 8 hours.
This means that we will charge you for the rest breaks, but not the meal breaks.
Please also note that since we are required to pay workers time-and-a-half plus a day in lieu for working on statutory holidays, we must also charge clients on the same basis.
